Apparatus and Method for Anatomic ACL Reconstruction
US Patent 11,786,358 is for a new type of soft tissue (ligament) fixation device.  This device, invented by Kelly Ammann, features advanced ligament position control combined with prongs extending from the device to prevent the graft or graft sutures from slipping past the device in the presence of graft tension.
Apparatus and Method for Ligament Reconstruction
US Patent 10,939,992 describes a new ligament fixation device.  This device, invented by Kelly Ammann, uniquely captures the ligament tissue bands in a non-rotating eyelet.  As the device is advanced into a bone socket, the graft bands are tensioned to allow more precise joint kinematics.
Apparatus and Method for Anatomic ACL Reconstruction
US Patent 9,918,828 describes a new ligament fixation device uniquely designed for ACL fixation on the tibial side.  Invented by Kelly Ammann, this device provides graft position control and prevents device divergence and offset in the graft tunnel.  
Method and Apparatus for Performing Multidirectional Tibial Tubercle Transfers
Kelly Ammann worked with the late Dr. Alan C. Merchant on this tibial tubercle transfer system.  Dr. Merchant was a pioneer in treating patellofemoral disorders and together they created a multi-directional tubercle transfer system as described in US Patent 7,794,466.
Method and Apparatus for Reconstructing a Ligament and/or Repairing Cartilage, and for Performing an Open Wedge, High Tibial Osteotomy
US Patent 8,167,951 describes a new device for performing high tibial osteotomy for realignment of the knee joint.  The device utilized a wedge shaped support with two pairs of "keys" which accommodate the fixation anchors, and provide additional stability.  This novel device utilizes PEEK for all implant components.

This device, described in several US Patents (US Patent 8,062,301; US Patent 8,137,406; US Patent 8,167,951; US Patent 8,211,112; US Patent 8,236,000; US Patent 8,409,209; US Patent 8,496,662; US Patent 8,540,777; US Patent 8,709,052; US Patent 8,771,279; US Patent 8,834,475; US Patent 9,113,920; US Patent 9,693,787; US Patent 9,707,023) was invented by Kelly Ammann and the engineering team at iBalance Medical.  The device was a revolutionary step in alignment and osteoarthritis treatment of the knee joint.  Development of the device was truly from napkin sketch to clinical use.  The team, led by Kelly Ammann, completed the mechanical design, prototyping, bench testing, cadaveric evaluation, biomechanical testing, clinical safety study and FDA clearance.  
iBalance Medical Inc. AKR-fx Medial Opening Wedge Tibial System
FDA clearance was granted for the above described device on October 27, 2009 under FDA 510(k) K092381.  The project was the culmination of an incredible engineering effort and was the first type of alignment device for the knee based on a unique PEEK wedge with cortical and cancellous anchors.  

In clinical use for over 15 years, the iBalance osteotomy implant has been used to treat knee mal-alignment and pain caused by osteoarthritis.
